Our 10ft x 6ft poultry housing is a thoughtfully designed housing solution for up to 50 chickens. Handcrafted in Hampshire using high-quality, pressure-treated redwood, this unit provides excellent durability, practicality, and comfort for your flock.

Key Features:

Durable Construction:
Built using pressure-treated (Tanalised) softwood with deep rebate shiplap cladding and a solid 38mm x 50mm timber framework, this poultry house is designed to last. The structural plywood floor is also pressure-treated for longevity and easy cleaning.

Weatherproof Roofing:
The apex roof is finished with Onduline corrugated sheeting made from bitumen-saturated organic fibre — providing long-lasting, weather-resistant protection. Galvanised fixings and hardware ensure additional durability.

Spacious Interior with Removable Perches:
Equipped with 3 twin perch assemblies, elevated above the nesting boxes, the unit provides comfortable roosting space for up to 50 chickens. All perches are fully removable, allowing for easy access and thorough cleaning.

Nest Boxes for Easy Egg Collection:
Features 4 sets of 3 compartment external nesting boxes (12 compartments in total), accessed from outside the shed for convenient daily egg collection. Nest boxes are built with a pressure-treated timber frame, lined with treated plywood for hygiene, and finished with a recycled Stokboard hinged lid for easy maintenance. The nest boxes are external to the 10ft x 6ft footprint, so they provide additional usable space and are not included within the internal floor area of the house.

Ventilation & Access:
Adjustable ventilation panels with wooden slides over mesh inserts are fitted on both sides to promote airflow and reduce moisture build-up. A secure access door allows for easy entry, and a pop hole provides safe, controlled free-ranging for your chickens.

This chicken house provides approximately 5.5m² of internal floor space, designed in line with commonly used free-range stocking guidance of around 9 hens per m² of usable indoor area. Based on this, the structure is suitable for a flock of up to 50 hens, when used as a night shelter with daytime free ranging.

The design includes:

• 12 external nest boxes, which do not reduce internal floor space and provide an excellent laying ratio for larger flocks
• Full-length internal perching space, offering more than sufficient roosting capacity for up to 50 hens
• A clear open floor layout to maximise usable movement space inside the house

This setup is intended as a secure overnight housing solution, with hens free to range during the day.

Flat-Pack Design for Easy Assembly:
Delivered as a flat-pack unit with comprehensive instructions, screws, hinges, bolts, layout plan and all necessary fixings. Easy to assemble with basic tools.

Our prices include delivery, so you won’t have to worry about any additional charges, though some geographical exclusions may apply. As all our items are handmade in our workshop, delivery is typically within 5-12 working days.

Please note, this product is delivered on a pallet and includes all fittings, a layout plan, and detailed instructions for quick and easy assembly. 

This item will be delivered on a large lorry as standard. If you have delivery restrictions or require a van delivery, please email us so we can review the available options. Please note that, depending on your postcode, this may incur an additional van surcharge.

Handcrafted in our UK workshop, all orders arrive approximately within 5 –12 working days with delivery included in the price. Please note that certain remote areas may fall outside our standard delivery zone.
