The Vyse Arks Chicken House with Run combines expert craftsmanship and thoughtful design to create a secure, durable, and attractive home for 14 chickens, or up to 16 smaller birds. Inspired by our traditional timber yard buildings, it offers professional grade strength in a practical layout that suits both gardens and smallholdings.

Constructed from FSC-certified, sustainably sourced timber and pressure-treated for long-lasting outdoor use, this chicken house is built to withstand the elements.

It includes three internal nest boxes, two perches, a pop hole with ramp linking the house to the run, and a weather resistant Onduline roof. 

The run is enclosed with high quality Italian galvanised 19-gauge mesh (½" x ½"), offering excellent predator protection while maintaining good airflow.

Two windows in the house provide additional ventilation, keeping your birds comfortable throughout the year.

The full structure measures approximately 12ft long, 6ft wide and 5ft high.

The raised house section is 3ft by 6ft, designed at a convenient waist height for easy access. We have enclosed the three external sides beneath the raised house to create an additional sheltered area for your birds. This space offers protection from cold winds in the winter and provides shade during the summer, giving your flock a comfortable and secure retreat throughout the year.

A rear door makes cleaning simple, and the three nest boxes are accessible from outside for effortless egg collection. The nest box is removable, helping with both routine maintenance and full cleaning access inside the house.

Built using pressure-treated, FSC-certified timber and fitted with galvanised 19 gauge mesh, the structure also includes galvanised hinges and a Brenton bolt on the doors. All necessary fixtures and fittings are included.

You can also upgrade to Italian galvanised 16 gauge mesh (¾" x ¾") for increased durability and security. Additional nest boxes are available if required.

Delivery & Assembly

Products are delivered flat-packed, complete with all fittings, a layout plan and detailed instructions to ensure straightforward assembly.

Please note the safety porch isn't included as standard but can be added for an extra fee. Contact us via email if you'd like to upgrade your chicken house with an external porch, and we'll help confirm the dimensions that work best for you. 

Please note, this product is delivered on a pallet and includes all fittings, a layout plan, and detailed instructions for quick and easy assembly. 

This item will be delivered on a large lorry as standard. If you have delivery restrictions or require a van delivery, please email us so we can review the available options. Please note that, depending on your postcode, this may incur an additional van surcharge. 

Please note that our integrated runs are designed to provide adequate space for your birds to roam when required. This is intended to complement free ranging in your outdoor space rather than serve as a permanent enclosure.

If you are looking to keep your birds permanently enclosed, we would recommend reducing the number of birds and referring to current UK animal welfare guidelines on minimum space requirements. Please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will be happy to advise on the most suitable enclosure size for your flock.

Handcrafted in our UK workshop, all orders arrive approximately within 5 –12 working days with delivery included in the price. Please note that certain remote areas may fall outside our standard delivery zone.
