An Iconic Hornsea Design from the 1960s

The original Birds design was drawn by renowned Hornsea Design Director John Clappison for a range of ceramics produced around 1967. Magpie has carefully redrawn this wonderfully playful design from the original artwork held in the Hornsea Museum archives, preserving the character and charm of the much-loved vintage pattern.

The design has been brought back to life using new ceramic moulds to create a range of stacking mugs, finished in authentic Hornsea-inspired colours from the period. The Chartreuse colourway adds a vibrant yet distinctly retro touch, making this mug a beautiful addition to both contemporary and vintage-inspired kitchens.

Hand-Glazed Stoneware
